Minutes of the 4th Youth Forum on Equipment Vibration and Noise Control

        November 26, 2016, the fourth equipment vibration and noise control youth forum held in Xi'an Jiaotong University. The conference was organized by the Chinese Society of Mechanics and the Chinese Acoustics Society. It was co-organized by the Key Laboratory of Multifunctional Materials and Structures of Ministry of Education and the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Structure Strength and Vibration.More than 70 delegates from more than 20 institutions attended the meeting. including Naval University of Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Hong Kong University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China Academy of Engineering, Hunan University, Dalian University of Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Chongqing University of Technology et al.

        The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Xin Fengxian. Professor Shen Shengping, Dean of School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a welcoming speech. He emphasized the basic development of mechanics in XJTU, and pointed out that XJTU has made many outstanding talents in recent decades and made outstanding contributions to the development of mechanics in China.And then Professor Lu Tianjian, Director of the Key Laboratory of Multifunctional Materials and Structures, made a speech and expressed the hope that the young scientists could contribute to the development of out country. 

 

        During the meeting, delegates visited the State Key Laboratory. The meeting will expand the vibration and noise control related fields, further strengthen the academic exchanges and cooperation, improve the scientific research level of young scientists. The 2-days schedule is compact and orderly, and has a more comprehensive understanding of the frontiers and latest achievements in vibration and noise control research. It broadens the academic vision, deepens the connection with the young peers, and achieves academic communication purposes.
