Zhai Xiao

I completed my B.S. degree in School of Materials Science and Engeering of Xi’an Jiao Tong University from 2003 to 2007 and my M. S degree in Biomedical Engineering and Biomechanics Center of Xi’an Jiao Tong University from 2007 to 2010. My thesis work was supervised by Prof. T.J.Lu and Dr. Feng Xu, and focused on the influence of temperature on microstructure and mechnical properties of skin. By investigating the change of microstructure of thermal-damaged skin, specifically the collagen fiber, the macro mechanical properties (eg. uniaxial and biaxial tensile behavior, relaxation behavior) were examined more clearly. Here at BEB, I am interested in observation methods of microstructure and take experiments about skin mechanical behavior.
